Y en España lleva como tres semanas en el Top Tres o algo así. Que aunque Allen gusta mucho en nuestro país de siempre, hacía tiempo que no se veía un funcionamiento en taquilla tan bueno de una peli suya a ambos lados del Atlántico. Va a ser verdad que la gente se está cansando de los blockbusters y el 3D :cuniao

En España ha saltado la sorpresa este fin de semana con Insidious, que se ha coronado como #1 con 1,55 millones de euros. El #2 ha sido Piratas 4 con 1,33m (15,6m acumulados) y el #3 X-Men con 1,07m (4m acumulados).

Por cierto, mirando los resultados mundiales de lo que va de año ya tenemos a Piratas 4 con casi 900 millones de dólares (888m), y eso que había perdido tirón respecto a las anteriores, y como segunda más taquillera en estos primeros meses tenemos a Fast Five que ya roza los 600m mundiales (585m).

Piratas 4 ha pegado un bajón importante en USA comparada con las anteriores, pero en el resto del mundo mundial los resultados han sido más que buenos, de ahí que al final se quedará muy cerca de la cifras globales de la tercera entrega

Hay dos maneras de verlo. Una es que esta recaudando una barbaridad en todos los paises y que al final el montante sera parecido a las otras. La segunda es que ha perdido audiencia en practicamente todos los paises en los que se ha estrenado (creo que se salvan solo 2 o 3), pero el precio del 3D le ha ayudado a estar donde esta.
En cualquier caso, seguira habiendo piratas...

FIRST BOX OFFICE: 'Green Lantern' Opens To $22M Friday On Way To $60M; 'Popper's Penguins' $7M Friday, $19M Weekend

FRIDAY 11PM 2ND UPDATE: Both Warner Bros' Green Lantern ($22M Friday, $60M weekend) and Fox's Mr. Popper's Penguins ($7M Friday, $19M weekend) look on target right now. But these numbers also mean falling stars in Hollywood. The superhero pic had well-known actor Ryan Reynolds in it, yet looks like it can't better Thor's recent $65.7M opening weekend starring a complete unknown. And Mr. Popper's result shows that Jim Carrey's popularity keeps waning in live action movies: his last pair were Fun With Dick And Jane (2005) opening to $14.6M, and The Number 23 (2007) debuted to $14.3M and Yes Man (2008) which first released to $18.2M. (I'm not counting I Love You, Phillip Morris because it never received wide distribution.) That this latest is grossing at all is due to the penguins, I'm certain. The total moviegoing weekend ends up an estimated -17% from last year (when Toy Story 3 opened to $110.3M. The big qualifier for all the above is the Sunday drop for Father's Day.

Pues como dije hace unos días Piratas 4 ya ha superado la taquilla mundial de Piratas 3

Piratas 4 $963,605,976 (y lo que le quede)

De acuerdo que en USA ha bajado bastante y que el precio de las entradas debe ser como un 30 o 40% superior (cosas del 3D)

Parece que me quedé muy corto. Voy a acertar la taquilla USA, lo que se sale totalmente de madre es la taquilla internacional. Lleva una proporción de 23-77% doméstico-internacional, algo muy, pero que muy extraño.

Wow, even Pixar's clunker exceeded expectations. Strange that the special studio parent/kids' tracking was only showing a $50M weekend for Cars 2 even with 3D's higher ticket prices. What a crock. Other studios tonight think the toon can zoom between $71.5M-$75M for the weekend, but Disney is staying conservative with projections of "just" $68M. No matter -- it's still a big bump up from the original's $60.1M despitefar less favorable reviews. Audiences ngave Cars 2 a 'A-' CinemaScore vs 'A' for the first Cars. The moolah puts the sequel near the top of the Pixar food chain, trailing only Toy Story 3's $110M opening, despite much poorer reviews. MORE

Resacón II cerca de los 250 millones SOLO en USA. Super 8 a punto de los 100. Las Damas de Honor cerca de los 150 millones cuando yo no les daba ni 100. Bien por los cochecitos de Pixar y por la Diaz. KFP 2 no hace lo que la primera, pero se está defendiendo en taquilla. Al final tendré que verla. La de Woody Allen sigue en el top diez con casi 30 millones.

Carrey pingüino... hundido cada día más.
Panda 2... está claro que no está siendo el éxito que se esperaba. En posición décima en tan sólo unas semanillas. Eso es muy mala señal.
Super 8... que la cosa está cuajando, más o menos (aunque no sé yo hasta que punto).
Cars 2... ¿25 en un día es buena o mala señal? No soy muy ducho con las cifras por días.
Green lantern... pues a lo tonto camino de los 100. Aunque tendría que hacer más pasta para considerar esto un éxito.
Resacón 2... estaba cantado.

de momento en USA la peli mas taquillera del verano esta siendo Resacon 2, por delante de Piratas
pero ahora llega ya Transformers y les pasara de largo a todos

Pues... psé. Veo que la primera parte, estrenada en 2006, hizo 60 M$. Se podría esperar algo más de lo que ha hecho, pero más o menos está en los números, porque esta no es 3D ¿no?
