Bruce Willis Says a Sixth Die Hard Will Happen
With one week to go before A Good Day to Die Hard hits the big screen, leading man Bruce Willis today spoke with the BBC's One Show (via Bleeding Cool) and said that the fifth entry in the franchise would not be the least.
"Yes," was Willis' coy response when asked whether or not fans could expect a sixth Die Hard film somewhere down the line.
The new film stars Bruce Willis, Jai Courtney, Sebastian Koch, Yulia Snigir, Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Anne Vyalitsyna.
Since the first Die Hard in 1988, John McClane has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy #1 for terrorists the world over. Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.

Willis Thinks Sixth Die Hard Will Happen. Will we get more McClane?
We’re days away from the launch of the latest Die Hard film – A Good Day To Die Hard – but it would seem Bruce Willis is already open to slipping his holster back on again. Talking to the BBC’s One Show, the McClane man was asked by hosts Matt Baker and Alex Jones if we could expect a sixth entry. And he said… wait for it… “Yes.”
Now, despite the fact that Bruce is the Die Hard icon, we’re all going to have to wait and see how A Good Day To Die Hard, in which the NYPD’s grumpiest cop heads to Russia to track down seemingly wayward son Jack (Jai Courtney), only to get mixed up in spy shenanigans, terrorist threats and one potentially explosive situation, performs at the box office.
Plus, while 20th Century Fox is clearly happy to keep the franchise ticking over, it’s likely too early to infer that anything will actually happen. Still, if Bruce likes whatever script the filmmakers come up with, it appears he’s happy to keep on yippee ki-yaying.
