Esta tecnología permitió tomar fotos de explosiones atómicas y se lograron descubrir muchos detalles no imaginados. Como por ejemplo que el “envasado” de la bomba logra alterar la regularidad de la “bola de fuego”; o que gran parte del calor se proyecta más rápidamente hacia los objetos inmediatamente cercanos -como permitió comprobar el “efecto cuerda”, picos que se forman bajo la bola quemarse los cables que sostienen la estructura de la bomba-.

Rapatronic camera (Wikipedia):

To overcome the speed limitation of a conventional camera's mechanical shutter, the rapatronic camera uses two polarizing filters and a Kerr cell. The two filters are mounted with their polarization angles at 90° to each other, to block all incoming light. The Kerr cell between the filters, which changes the polarization of light passing through it when energized, acts as shutter when it is energized at the right time for a very short amount of time, allowing the film to be properly exposed.

Venga, otro video grabado con la Phant.....la casio EX-F1 a 300fps ;)

En este caso he usado también la stedicam merlin en algunas tomas para ver que tal se comporta en grabaciones de este tipo. Es una buena cámara para el precio, lástima que la resolución en modo alta velocidad sea sólo de 512X384.

Creo que no, la 550D graba a 50fps en 720p mientras que la casio lo hace a 300fps aunque a menor resolución. También graba a 600fps y 1200fps pero no lo cuento porque la resolución es ridícula.
