Noted game console hardware scooper Moore’s Law is Dead has released an in-depth report on what’s rumored to be the next generation of PlayStation hardware.
They indicate the company is planning to release three units – a ‘Series S’ style entry-level console priced cheaply, a handheld unit capable of being docked, and a high-end console.
The report claims all the units use a new AMD APU built on a 3nm process and an RDNA 5-class GPU with FSR 4 support. From the sounds of it, the handheld and the entry-level ones will be based on the same chip.
The handheld is a 1080p display that supports 60 Hz/120 Hz and, like the Nintendo Switch, has a docking function designed to unlock higher performance when connected to a dock.
In theory, it’s indicated that the handheld could reach PS5-level results and potentially some Pro-level features in some scenarios. Less-optimised games would be in the PS5 base unit Performance Mode range.
Pricing-wise, the speculation is the entry-level box at $299-$399, the handheld at $399-$499 and the high-end console at $549 – $699 with a 2027 date being targeted.
The report is a rumour for now, though the outlet is the one that broke the first details on the PS5 Pro, amongst other things.

Pero si todavía no le he hecho el unboxing a la 5 Pro.
Pues mucha razón tienes. Desde navidades que empecé con el negocio he jugado 2 veces una horita cada vez. El único que juega algo es mi hijo. De hecho tengo en la Switch el The witcher 3 para jugarlo desde que la compramos y todavía no he acabado ni el tutorial.... Por mi que vayan sacando números y me reengancho cuando me jubile. Vete abriendo el PS20 que igual llego....
