Los datos de taquilla de Indy me parecen normales. Es una película que no se ve afectada por al boca a boca y una película que todo el mundo quiere ver. Además el espectro de población que maneja posiblemente sea el maximo. Desde descerebrados hasta académicos de la lengua muy serios.

Pues la primera prueba de fuego, pasada. La taquilla del martes. Se estimaban entre 7 y 10, y bueno, veo que son 8 millones. Está bastante bien. La prueba de fuego será el próximo finde, pero de momento el boca a boca no está dañando la peli.

Volviendo al post esta semana tenemos "Sexo en New York" y "The strangers" que no son precisamente mucha competencia para Indy (aunque la serie no sé la fuerza que puede tener como para que desbancase al señor del sombrero y látigo).

Si me atreví a meterme en el post de CRÍTICAS (y eso que Mo ya me había avisado de que pensaba limpiarse el culo con mi valoración)... no veo por qué no voy a entrar en éste. La única forma de criticar Indy IV aquí es criticando el post mismo!
Y no creo que nadie sea tan pedante como para eso.

El otro día leí por ahí las condiciones del famoso acuerdo entre Lucas/ Spielberg/ Ford y la Paramount, ...y son realmente impresionantes. Al parecer ninguno de los tres va a cobrar ni un sólo centavo, como ya se había filtrado, en tanto la película no alcance los 400 mill. de dólares de recaudación (y la Paramount recupere el 100% del presupuesto y entre en beneficios -de hecho el presupuesto es de 185 mill.-), pero tan pronto como se supere esa cifra... SIETE DE CADA OCHO DÓLARES RECAUDADOS irán directamente a los bolsillos del trío calavera!!!

Primeras estimaciones del viernes, y las cifras de "Sexo en Nueva York" son A-C-O-J-O-N-A-N-T-E-S: 28 millones sólo el viernes y calculan un finde de 70 kilazos. Indy 4 no se desinfla como muchos esperaban y desciende entre un 50-53%, recaudando casi 15 millones el viernes y casi 50 el finde.

FRIDAY 9:15 p.m. (Pacific): This weekend, women are invading America's multiplexes in mind-boggling numbers. Sex & The City (Warner Bros), adapted from the hit HBO series that launched a decade ago, has scored one of the most amazing openings in the history of film. Starting with 1,100+ sold-out or near sold-out midnight previews Thursday night, continuing with unthinkably huge matinee business and rampaging through Cosmopolitan-fueled late shows, Sex & The City has grabbed a truly remarkable $28.25M on opening day. How amazing is this performance? My final prediction, a healthy $35M, was exactly 1/2 of the film's likely 3-day take at $70M.
Studio execs all over town are stunned. All week long, the smart money was on a much more modest performance for Michael Patrick King's big screen adaptation. I have seen the movie, and I think it hits the mark squarely, but I am a guy. And so are most of the studio executives in Hollywood. And so are the majority of the critics who wrote mixed-to-scathing reviews of the movie. Studio honchos, mostly middle-aged men, pointed to 2006's The Devil Wears Prada and last Summer's Hairspray, which both opened with about $28M, and guessed that Sex could do a little better. The film industry has dramatically underestimated the box office muscle of the American woman.
Sex & The City stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis, all somewhere north of 40, and they are a regular Fantastic Four (sans superpowers). In fact, Sarah Jessica and friends have blown away Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider ($47.7M opening) to become the All-Time #1 Opening for a movie headlined by a woman.
Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull (Paramount) will be forced to settle for #2 on its 2nd weekend. The Steven Spielberg-directed Lucasfilm property managed an estimated $14.15M on Friday, which will likely translate to a $47.6M 3-day. With a cume in excess of $218M by Monday morning, Indy 4 will get to $300M domestic without even breaking a sweat. I am projecting a $318M cume for Harrison Ford's first Indy film in 19 years, and that should provide more than enough incentive to continue the franchise with Shia LeBeouf.
The Strangers (Rogue), an R-rated slasher pic with a disturbing ad campaign, has scored a surprise $6.8M on Friday. Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman have landed in a nice solid hit with $18.7M expected by Sunday night.
Iron Man (Paramount) has finally overtaken the lagging Narnia: Prince Caspian (Disney) in the daily and weekend race. Marvel's first self-financed and self-produced movie grabbed another $3.55M on Friday, putting it on pace for an excellent $13.1M. I am now projecting that Robert Downey, Jr.'s superhero debut will top out at $305M domestic. Meanwhile, Narnia 2 limped to $3.3M to start the weekend, and it is targeting $12M for the 3-day and a 5th-place finish.

En la taquilla norteamericana. (tal vez… bueno seguramente ocupara el primer puesto) pero como no se estrena de forma simultánea en el resto de países (en España creo que se estrena el 4 de Julio…).

Sinceramente no creo que sean competencia para sexo en NY, cada una tiene su público. Sobre todo por lo de Kung Fu Panda. Y Hulk llega a USA el 13, en competencia directa con The Happening. Cual de las dos se llevará en número 1? Teniendo en cuenta que Hulk es PG-13 y Happening R estaría claro... a no ser que a la gente no le apetezca ver otra vez al bichardaco CGI que tuvo una primera parte aburrida para la gran mayoría... Veremos quien gana.
