La película es mejor
El piloto dirigido por el propio Berg es una reformulación del principio de la película, que me parece una de las más emocionantes (llena de emociones mejor dicho) del cine deportivo.
Al final la serie se ha ido acercando más y más al temido drama de adolescentes, siempre ha mantenido el tipo, pero se distanció demasiado del original, para mi gusto claro.

Yo, viendo la peli tras ver la serie, y ya lo dije, me quedo con la serie. La peli también tiene ese aire documental, cámara en mano. Esos colores, no sé, como apagados, y no digo que esté mal, me gustó, pero la serie me caló más. Y, sí, la serie ha ido evolucionando hacia el drama adolescente, pero, y digo yo, ¿no lo era en los primeros episodios de la serie o en la propio peli? Todo ello, claro, sazonado con el fútbol americano de fondo. Bueno, ahora que lo pienso, no tan de fondo, pero ya me entendéis

), Paul Walker, y además tiene a un actor de la futura serie que nos atañe, Jesse Plemmons ( Landry Clarke ).

Friday Night Lights: Season Four Spells Disaster for the Couples of Dillon

There's trouble brewing in Dillon, Texas, and it's not just caused by the literal split of the town. There are other splits coming, including a few of our favorite TV couples, who have some rocky roads ahead.
We sat down with Friday Night Lights' Connie Britton prior to her Conversations session at the SAG Foundation, and she dished what's in store for the citizens of Dillon in season four, which kicks off production on Sept. 2.
When we left the Taylors at the end of season three, Coach (Kyle Chandler) was banished to the run-down East Dillon High School, while Tami remained principal of the Panthers. Could this split actually revive their marriage? "Wait, there's nothing wrong with the marriage," joked Connie. "Hello! The marriage doesn't need reviving. How dare you?"
Actually the impact of the separate schools may "add a new dimension" to their relationship, Connie said. "It's very hard to even grasp what it means—this whole new school that needs all this help that Coach is going to be going to, with redistricting and all that. I think it's going to be more [about] us trying to figure out what our new roles are in these places than it's going to be us at odds with each other. Maybe we'll find a way to come together and help each other with our competitive schools."
While the Taylors are adding a new spark to their marriage, little Julie (Aimee Teegarden) may be in for more trouble this season. "It'll be much more interesting if she's not a good girl, don't you think? At the end of the day, I'm her mom, [and] I want her to be awesome," Connie said. "Maybe she can have one more spell, and then I want her to pull it all together and get into a great school and live an awesome life."
So what does this mean for Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford) and Julie? Connie told us, "At the end of last season it wasn't like he was going to be gone." However, Zach won't be in many episodes this season, so it doesn't seem like they could last. "Exactly!" exclaimed Connie. "I don't know how that's going to sort itself out."
Speaking of doomed relationships, Taylor Kitsch recently told us he's coming back for season four, but Minka Kelly is only back for a few episodes, which Connie teased is not good news for Lyla and Riggins fans: "Riggins is going to have to move on. The reality of the situation is he's in Dillon; he's never going to leave Dillon probably, and she is. She has a whole future, and I think it would be really interesting to see what that does to him. Maybe she'll come back and do some episodes, and we'll see where she's gone off to and see the difference between the girl who gets out and the guy who doesn't. Those old high school relationships where you think [you're] going to be forever together and then you've got your whole life ahead of you and everything changes. "

La vuelta de Adrianne Palicki en la temporada 4 de Friday Night Lights parece ya un imposible, por lo menos de momento. La actriz está en otro rodaje y nada parece hacernos pensar en que puede regresar a la serie.

TVE ha adquirido los derechos de emisión de esta serie centrada en el fútbol americano. La serie se emitirá a diario en lugar de las reposiciones de 'The OC'.
La 2 de Televisión Española estrena este próximo miércoles, 5 de agosto, a partir de las 20:00 horas, una nueva serie juvenil titulada 'Friday night lights'. La serie que cuenta con tres temporadas gira en torno al mundo del fútbol americano.
La nueva apuesta de TVE está ambientada en Dillon (Texas), un ficticio pueblo rural americano donde el codiciado anillo del campeonato estatal de fútbol americano está considerado como el reconocimiento más importante al que se puede aspirar. Sus habitantes viven el deporte como si fuera una religión. Para ellos no hay nada más importante que los Dillon Panthers, el equipo de fútbol americano del instituto de la ciudad. Pero bajo el telón de fondo de las ilusiones que genera el equipo local, 'Friday Night Lights' se acerca a la vida sentimental de los jugadores y a la presión que sufre tanto el equipo como su entrenador ante una comunidad que exige victoria tras victoria.
La serie comienza con el nombramiento Eric Taylor como nuevo entrenador jefe del equipo local de fútbol, las Panteras ("Phanters"). Eric recién acaba de trasladarse con su familia a Dillon. El entrenador intentará convertir a los chicos en verdaderos campeones y mejor persona, pero no todo será tan sencillo. Los chicos, por su lado, perseguirán una beca universitaria para poder jugar en la NFL.
El equipo cuenta con Jason Street (Scott Porter), el capitán y quaterback del equipo, un joven con mucho talento; Brian "Smash" Williams (Gaius Charles), un "running back" extremadamente confiado en sus posibilidades; Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch), otro "running back" procedente de una problemática familia; o Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford), un buen defensa de la tercera línea, un muchacho muy tímido.
Nada más comenzar la serie una de sus estrellas sufrirá una gravisima lesión que desencadenara muchas de las tramas de esta primera temporada. La estrella del equipo, su quaterback Jason Street sufrirá una parálisis. Este triste suceso obligará al equipo a buscar nuevas soluciones. El entrenador centrará su atención en Matt Saracen, un jugador que intenta pasar desapercibido tanto en el instituto como en el equipo. Su vida dará un giro espectacular, en parte gracias a la hija del entrenador, Julie Taylor.
Gracias a sus contundentes tramas y al excelente trabajo de sus actores, 'Friday night lights' ha sido todo un éxito de crítica y espectadores en Estados Unidos. Ahora llega a La 2 de TVE, en sustitución de las reposiciones de 'The OC'.

Primeras imágenes de la 4a temporada de "Friday Night Lights" que arranca el próximo 28 de octubre en DirecTV.
Después de una espera larga, he aquí las primeras imágenes de la cuarta temporada de Friday Night Lights. La cadena por cable DirecTV acaba de desvelar un magnífico teaser, que se parece de manera extraña al que anuncia la temporada 3, pero también dos trailers. Esta cuarta temporada inédita debutará el próximo 18 de octubre en DirecTV. Desde la última temporada, esta última emite la serie varios meses antes de su paso por NBC. En la serie esta nueva temporada grandes cambios y no solamente en el reparto.

Muy bonita la promo de la cuarta temporada, el resumen de la 3ª temporada también está muy bien y es bastante, en mi opinión, emotivo ( Tyra en off leyendo la carta que quiere enviar a una universidad ).
