"Grayskull": Masters del Universo (nueva entrega)

With new directors coming onboard the proposed “Masters of the Universe” reboot in the works at Sony Pictures, the new He-Man seems to be gaining steam and now That Hashtag Show has offered a casting breakdown revealing which classic characters will appear.

The new take will basically do for the franchise what “Spectre” did for James Bond – turn his nemesis into his brother. The new take begins with King Randor on the throne, the great warrior-king of Eternia and descendant of the Grayskulls.

He’s also the father of two sons – Keldor the chosen heir and a perfect son, and his younger black sheep brother Adam with whom Randor’s relationship is strained. However when the fate of Eternia is put on the line, Randor puts his people first and betrays Keldor – inciting the series of events that leads to him becoming the iconic Skeletor.

Adam then sets out to assemble a group of warriors to take down his brother including Duncan/Man-at-Arms who is the king’s right-hand man and weaponeer, Zodak who will be Adam’s mentor and the King’s Minister of Technology, and Teela who is Duncan’s daughter and Captain of the Royal Guard (and Adam’s love interest).

There’s also Orko who has been considerably changed into a small man filled with self-doubt, Stratos who rules over the Sky Guards of the Iron Gate Prison, Beast Man who is now a shape-shifter and useful spy for Skeletor, Evil Lyn who will be a powerful and intelligent witch, and Trap Jaw who will be a cyborg of some sort in this take.

The Nee Brothers are slated to direct “Masters of the Universe” which is currently targeting a December 2019 release. David Goyer penned the script while DeVon Franklin, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch will produce.
