Also today, in the wake of the death of Charlton Heston, we've learned from our industry sources (and other sources as well) that Fox is currently planning to bow what would be a fitting tribute - a Blu-ray Disc box set of not just the classic Planet of the Apes feature film, but possibly all four sequels as well, sometime in the 3rd or 4th quarter of this year. This would include at least some new featurettes and other extras. Word is Fox has even discovered the original ending from the preview cut of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. All of this would be part of a 40th anniversary celebration of the original film.

No le tengo mucho aprecio a estas películas, pero estará bien comprobar si Fox se va currando más sus títulos de catálogo o si se limita a cumplir con el mínimo esfuerzo.
 
La primera será un honor tenerla en las condiciones que se merece, pese a que la edición especial en DVD no se ve mal.

Las secuelas ya las tengo en DVD y no necesitan más

A ver si Fox mejora la calidad y contenido de sus discos azules, por que vaya verguenza de ediciones que se gasta.
 
Fox está preparando el lanzamiento en USA el 4 de noviembre de 2008 de la edición conmemorativa del 40 aniversario de el planeta de los simios. También está previsto que salga en Europa.

El pack incluye las 5 películas de la saga -con imagen codificada en 1080p AVC y sonido codificado en DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-, y una extensa colección de contenidos adicionales, gran parte de ellos creados expresamente para esta edición y presentados también en alta definición.

A mi me interesa la primera, en las mejores condiciones posibles. Que en DVD la imagen no era del todo buena y tenía bastantes manchas, pelos y desperfectos.

El resto, se quedan en DVD que tampoco son nada del otro mundo :cuniao

A mí también me interesa sólo la primera, pero de momento no han anunciado ediciones sueltas, aunque es de suponer que acabará saliendo, al menos la original.

Por cierto, supongo que con el comentario a la imagen del DVD te refieres a su primera encarnación que en efecto contenía puntos, manchas, fibras, pelos, etc.., en definitiva, suciedad y desperfectos de todo tipo. Sin embargo, la edición especial estaba (semi) restaurada y presentaba una imagen bastante limpia y sin apenas defectos cinematográficos, mejorando claramente la anterior, aunque también tenía sus cosillas.

segun ZONADVD, el 3 DICIEMBRE aqui sale el pack y las pelis tambien por separado

Como bien recuerdas Archi, la segunda edición estaba semi-restaurada. Mejoraron muchos aspectos y eliminaro muchas imprefecciones, pero no era una restauración perfecta como las que hemos visto en otros clasicos en HD como Casablanca o Blade Runner.

En mundodvd hice una comparativa de capturas de ambas, no se por dónde estará ahora. Y como está entre mis preferidas, ardo en deseos de una edición perfecta :yes

Vaya nivelazo. Estos de Fox... o te sacan ediciones peladas y mal codificadas o tiran la casa por la ventana. No hay quién les entienda :ojos

Sí, tienes razón, según la noticia de zonadvd salen todas sueltas, no pretendía decir lo contrario ni mucho menos; lo que pasa es que antes Pelanes y yo habíamos comentado que nos interesaba especialmente la primera y por eso he hecho el comentario centrado en ella. :)

Ah bien. :) Evidentemente la primera es la mejor pero, ¿sabéis que han encontrado el final original de una de las secuelas y piensan incluirlo?

Ya,el problema es que tiene pinta de ser la misma edicion literalmente.Vamos que la impresion por esa informacion es que en UK llevara español latino y seguramente extras sin subtitulos en español.
