It appears that "avid Halo 2 fans" have been getting - or are due to get - a nice little reward from Microsoft in light of the
upcoming closure for Xbox Live on the original Xbox.
In an e-mail that seems to be doing the rounds today, those "avid" Halo 2 players will be getting 400 Microsoft points, three months of Xbox Live and a ticket on to the Halo: Reach beta this coming May 3rd.
What it takes to be hailed as an "avid" Halo 2 player is unknown at the moment and even our tipster wasn't quite sure what he did, but just be on the lookout for this mail if you consider yourself one of those players.
We're guessing the requirements are that you've played a set amount of games/hours in Halo 2 recently, otherwise we'd all be getting one.
The original Xbox Live shutdown is April 15th. The e-mails/MS points and extensions are going out now, with the beta codes coming around the beta's launch.
