Pues he estado escuchando el Recording Sessions de JNH y es bastante disfrutable, multitud de temas alternativos y también hay algo de Howard Shore, al parecer la música original de Max Steiner que se oye en el film y en el 3ºCD está arreglada y dirigida por él e interpretada por la Orquesta de NZ.

También me gustaría que me dieras vuestra opinión sobre unos temas que compuse para un cortometraje el año pasado:

Muy bueno! Me gustaron los videos, lastima que en el de Los Hijos de Andor no haya una orquesta de verdad tocando. Estuvo muy bueno el guiño a Shore en el min. 0:56 del segundo video. Y la obra sinfonica excelente.

Gente, alguien llego a pedir el score de Up a los de Intrada? Lo pedi el domingo y solo me han enviado el mail de confirmación de la recepción del pedido, me lo han cobrado y el status sigue en Pending Fulfillment.

Sabeis el funcionamiento de estos pillos?

We’re pleased to announce the release of Howard Shore’s The Lord of the Rings Symphony: Six Movements for Orchestra & Chorus on September 13, 2011. The album was recorded live in concert in Lucerne Switzerland this past February in partnership with Bavarian Radio who will broadcast the world premiere of the concert in its entirety on September 4, 2011. The Lord of the Rings Symphony: Six Movements for Orchestra & Chorus was performed by the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Chorus and soloist Kaitlyn Lusk under the direction of Ludwig Wicki.
The score for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy has been hailed as some of the greatest film music ever written. Sweeping in scope, it is a musical interpretation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth—an operatic tapestry of cultures, histories, languages, and people.

The Lord of the Rings Symphony – a six-movement piece spanning Howard Shores three film scores was created from the nearly 12 hours of music composed by Shore for the film trilogy. The six movements reflect each of the six books of The Lord of the Rings.

“Maestro Ludwig Wicki personally selected the musicians who comprise The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and who perform on this recording,” said Shore. “Over the past four years he has perfected this music in Lucerne, Switzerland. His precision and supreme musicianship is evident throughout the recording. I congratulate him on his success and thank him for his masterful approach in bringing this score to life.”

This December marks the 10th anniversary of the release of the first film and soundtrack of the trilogy, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Shore continued, “J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings is very close to my heart. I have great respect for his writing and share the values he weaves into these stories of courage and honor, friendship and sacrifice. I love the inner aspect of his writing, the detail of the relationships, and his observance of nature.”

In tandem with the release of each of the films, single CD soundtracks of Shore’s music were released. Following the conclusion of the film series, three boxed sets containing the complete recordings from each of the films were also released. Live-to-projection symphonic concert performances have been performed in many cities worldwide and this fall 10 concerts are scheduled in the United States along the West Coast performed by the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Chorale, Phoenix Boys Choir and soloist Kaitlyn Lusk all under the baton of Maestro Ludwig Wicki. In 2010, Carpentier and Alfred Music Publishing released The Music of the Lord of the Rings Films book, written by Doug Adams.

The Lord of the Rings Symphony: Six Movements for Orchestra & Chorus will be released by Howe Records both in stores and digitally on September 13, 2011.​

como es que Debney, el amiguete del Fravreau, que no pudo meterlo en el primer IRON MAN pero si en el segundo, no le ha hecho la de COWBOYS Y ALIENS?

mejor que el matao del Gregson-Williams es, no? Y podria haber hecho algo en plan Elmer Bernstein con guitarreo.

Bueno, ni idea de opinar con mucho fundamento porque músico no soy, pero estaba escuchando ahora "Avanza el Rey" y no sé porque me sobra la pandereta, me rompe el encanto de una sinfonía de este tipo. Luego también hay momentos donde el tambor me suena con demasiada presencia respecto a los demás instrumentos y voces.

¡Ostras tío! Debo decirte que tu estilo me recuerda bastante a John Barry en muchos momentos. Aunque la influencia Howard está más que presente.
Lástima el sonido MIDI (que siempre me recuerda a los juegos de ordenador de los noventa). Eso tocado por la orquesta tiene que ser fantástico.

El sonido del concierto es bastante malillo en el volumen de las partes, claro que no se le puede exigir una calidad deutsche grammophon. La composición es brillante y apasionada.
Bravo.

Creo que se te daría muy, pero que muy bien, emular al maestro Barry.

Gracias!! Nunca me lo habían comentado...Poledouris y Shore sí, pero el maestro inglés nunca...

Pues fíjate que mi siguiente proyecto como compositor es musicalizar una obra de teatro que se estrena a final de mes...basada en el hundimiento del Titanic...y aquí estoy, escuchando música de Horner y Barry!!

Tira hacia el lado melancólico de Barry. Estoy seguro de que tienes más de él de lo que crees. Son sutilezas, pero ahí están.

Jaja. Tampoco le va a copiar el parabará a Horner. Por cierto Peter, intenta conseguirte alguno de esos samples orquestales que hay por ahí. Esta el Sonivox Symphonic Collection, pesa lo mismo que el East West Symphonic Orchestra, pero tiene un sonido más orquestal y organico.

Gracias!! Esos sonidos son del Edirol Orchestra, uno muy ligero de peso pero que funciona bastante bien. Ahora estoy tras la pista del Spitfire ALBION que es sin duda, EL MEJOR.

La música bien (con instrumentos reales mejor, claro), pero si eso cuando vuelvan a rodar algo que me llamen, porque vaya tela... :fiu
