Chloe Moretz, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost Talk Star Wars: Episode VII

With Star Wars: Episode VII starting production next year, we should start hearing soon about who will be cast in one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the millennium. During a recent interview to promote her sequel Kick-Ass 2, Chloe Moretz threw her hat in the casting ring, even offering to give her phone number to director J.J. Abrams.

"I mean, obviously there's interest. It's Star Wars. I'd kill to be a part of that franchise, but I don't know. J.J., I'll give you my phone number. You can text me."


On the flip side, The World's End stars Simon Pegg, who worked with the filmmaker on Star Trek and this summer's Star Trek Into Darkness, and Nick Frost revealed they have no interest in joining the cast. Here's what Simon Pegg had to say, revealing he hopes the filmmaker doesn't resort to stunt casting.

"I don't want to be in Star Wars, I think it would spoil it. When I saw Star Wars when I was a kid, I saw a bunch of people I'd never seen before with some lofty, very respectable older actors in senior roles. I would hope J.J. doesn't stunt-cast the film. It would be great to get some new peeps in it, it would be amazing."


Nick Frost added he's more interested in seeing what J.J. Abrams will come up with, rather than being in the movie himself.

"I'd like to sit back as a punter and see what's going to come from J.J.'s mind."


Since Disney now owns LucasFilm, many are expecting casting announcements to be made next weekend at the studio's annual D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. Stay tuned for more updates.

Kathleen Kennedy ha informado sobre el CGI que tendrá la nueva película. Según ella, la nueva entrega tendrá un equilibrio entre efectos especiales mecánicos y digitales con el objetivo de conectar con la trilogía original.

La productora de 'Star Wars 7' Kathleen Kennedy ha calmado a los fans más críticos con el uso de los efectos digitales de la última trilogía al afirmar que la nueva entrega galáctica usará más efectos mecánicos.

Según ha afirmado, después de revisionar la saga entera, se ha dado cuenta de que el éxito de la trilogía original venía en parte de los increíbles efectos de la época y de las localizaciones que tenía. Para ella, es imprescindible que la nueva película cuente de nuevo con estos ingredientes.

En la última Celebration Europe (la convención anual de fans de Star Wars, celebrada recientemente en Alemania) Kennedy se quedó muy sorprendida por el trabajo realizado por los asistentes. Según ella, "me quedé impresionada por el trabajo de los fans. La gente acudió con su propio material, con construcciones realizadas por ellos... Nosotros pretendemos hacer lo mismo en nuestra película, en combinación con efectos digitales".

Ian McDiarmid Will Return as Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars: Episode VII

Although this has not been confirmed by LucasFilm or Walt Disney Pictures, insiders claim that actor Ian McDiarmid is returning for Star Wars: Episode VII.

While his role is unclear, it seems likely that the British actor will return as Chancellor Palpatine/The Emperor, who he played in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. There is the possibility that he could come back as a clone, which is an ancient Sith ritual that would explain how he could survive being thrown down a reactor shaft in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.

Of course, nothing has been confirmed by Walt Disney Pictures or LucasFilm yet, so consider this information a rumor for the time being. Harrison Ford , Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are said to return as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, with Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) also reportedly coming back.

Veo que hay una base para esa historia, pero me siguen pareciendo ganas de rizar el rizo.

Por otro lado, se agradece la presencia de Mcdiarmid que, a la espera de Daniels y Baker, podría ser el único actor que participe en las tres trilogías.
 
De todo lo que han hecho salvo las bandas sonoras de John Williams y "El Imperio contrataca",el resto para enterrarlo en un cofre de plomo y cubrirlo con hormigón para el resto de los siglos.:fiu

Hay unos cuantos fan arts de estos poblando el Google images. Aunque reconozco que hay alguno que otro que seguro es y será mejor que el que salga definitivamente a no ser que Struzan se ponga al mando que eso sería ya harina de otro costal.

Latino Review anuncia que McGregor regresará como Obi-Wan en el Episodio VII. Nada confirmado, pero ahí está.

La web Latino Review ha informado de que Ewan McGregor repetirá el papel de Obi-Wan Kenobi en el primer episodio de la nueva trilogía de Star Wars.

La información, según El Mayimbe, ha sido corroborada por tres fuentes distintas, y no se descarta la presencia de McGregor en un film adicional: uno de los posibles spin-off que se estrenaría en un año determinado entre secuela y secuela.
