Yo debo reconocer que lo explícito de este director en lo relacionado con la violencia siempre me echa para atrás a la hora de ver obras nuevas suyas. Básicamente porque no me ha gustado nunca el gore.
Reconociendo que efectivamente no son gratuitas e incluso justificadas dichas escenas, y que es un tremendo director de cine, es también innegable (y no por ello malo o peor) que necesita beber de esa violencia explícita de forma recurrente para darle la guinda a ese personaje, a esa secuencia o a ese momento a la hora de contar sus historias.
Personalmente trato de agarrarme más a un tipo de cine que sugestione o deje intuir más que muestre. Se me viene a la cabeza Shyamalan por ejemplo, o la película de La Bruja, cuya escena del bebé me parece un ajustado ejemplo de que mostrar y que no (a veces basta con escuchar).
Pero repito que me parece uno de los grandes y quizás en esa locura esté su genialidad.

Tarantino ha rodado momentos violentos, pero suelen ser notas a pies de página, punchlines a la escena; casi siempre están plegados a un servicio dramático (y acoplados a él; la oreja, el nazi valiente, etc). Nunca ha hecho gore.

Lo que decia, esa guinda que el considera necesaria y a mi no me gusta (me pone un poco nervioso supongo por no saber cuando va a llegar). Y hombre ver lo explícito de cortar una cabellera algo gore es. Al menos para mí claro.

As filmmaker Quentin Tarantino readies his next project, he has revealed that the film isn’t going to center around the Manson family murders as previously reported.
In the wake of the collapse of the Weinstein Company due to multiple allegations of sexual misconduct leveled at Harvey Weinstein, it was revealed Tarantino has recently been seeking funding for the film with the likes of Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, and Leonardo DiCaprio up for roles.
However story and plot specifics remained top secret with agency reps having to visit Tarantino’s office to see the script which was completed almost half a year ago. Speaking with Indiewire this week, Tarantino says the main focus isn’t on cult leader Charles Manson but rather a specific year: “It’s not Charles Manson, it’s 1969.”
That’s all the filmmaker would reveal about the film which, if it does include Manson, would likely only incorporate him for a few scenes at most as he was a key figure in that year along with Nixon taking office, the moon landing and the Vietnam War.
Filming is likely targeting an early 2018 release.

Argh, preferiría SU visión de todo el asunto Tate-LaBianca, pero güeno. Tarantino + 1969 es casi un YES instantáneo.
