Amazon has announced the full creative team behind the upcoming “The Lord of the Rings” TV series, the reveal coming during the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Saturday.
Joining the team are executive producers Gene Kelly (“Boardwalk Empire”), Lindsey Weber (“10 Cloverfield Lane”), Bruce Richmond (“Game of Thrones”); writer and executive producer Gennifer Hutchison (“Breaking Bad”); writer and executive producer Jason Cahill (“The Sopranos”); and writer and executive producer Justin Doble (“Stranger Things”).
Also onboard are consulting producers Bryan Cogman (“Game of Thrones”) and Stephany Folsom (Toy Story 4); producer Ron Ames (“The Aviator”); writer and co-producer Helen Shang (“Hannibal”); writing consultant Glenise Mullins; and Amazon’s former head of genre programming Sharon Tal Yguado.
Next there is costume designer Kate Hawley (“Suicide Squad”); production designer Rick Heinrichs (“Star Wars: The Last Jedi”); visual effects supervisor Jason Smith (“The Revenant”); Tolkien scholar Tom Shippey; and illustrator and concept artist John Howe.
They join the previously announced showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay along with filmmaker J.A. Bayona (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”) who will direct the first two episodes and executive produce along with his partner Belén Atienza.

Hombre, nadie duda de la mitiquez de sus composiciones...pero a mí siempre me ha sonado a "midi" (o siendo más estrictos, a instrumentos sintetizados vía ordenador). Desconozco cuanto parte de la banda sonora se ha grabado con orquesta real o no, pero a mi me suena mucho a plugin de protools.Djawadi midi? No veo que GoT suene así. Pero lo primero, lo siento, pero ese coñazo de tendencia actual mediaventurera de mandar a la mierda la mayoría de secciones de una orquesta y sólo utilizar las cuerdas (y si son las más graves y ojcuras, mejor), y poner además a las treintaytantas cuerdas a tocar la misma melodia, te lo cambian por lo mismo tocado en un protools y NI TE ENTERAS de la diferencia.Te usurparon?
