Stellan Skarsgard Set to Return for Avengers: Age of Ultron

Total Film (via CBM) has confirmed that everyone’s favorite astrophysicist from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Dr. Erik Selvig as played by Stellan Skarsgard, will return for the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, reprising the role he played in both "Thor" films as well as the first "Avengers" movie.

"I'm going to be in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, a small appearance. It's something really nice," the actor revealed.

Skarsgard went on to reveal that his next appearance could be sans clothes just like one of his scenes in Thor: The Dark World.

"Yeah, I was naked again," he said. "They called my agent and said, 'Do you think Stellan will mind being naked?' My agent laughed his head off. Yeah, I almost insist!"

The outlet then asked what he could say about the upcoming "Avengers" sequel, and although it's not much, he provides an interesting idea of where to expect him in the film's plot.

"First of all, I don't know what I'm allowed to say, but usually they call me in if they need something explained. There's a lot of explanations to do when it comes to that universe."

Opening in theaters on May 1, 2015, Joss Whedon’s highly-anticipated sequel stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, James Spader, Cobie Smulders, Thomas Kretschmann and Paul Bettany.

Rumor con spoilers sobre “Los Vengadores 2: La era de Ultrón”. ¿Nuevos superhéroes a la vista?

Rumor con spoilers incluidos ─teniendo en cuenta siempre que tan sólo es un rumor, claro─ acerca de lo que sucederá al final de “Los Vengadores 2: La era de Ultrón”. Según Badass Digest, la película concluirá con el Capitán América (Chris Evans) ensamblando un nuevo grupo de súper héroes que mezclará personajes antiguos y nuevos.

La razón se desconoce, pero parece ser que todo apunta a que una de las principales incorporaciones será Ms. Marvel, sin que tampoco se aclare si va a ser su presentación en sociedad de cara a una propuesta en solitario protagonizada por ella. Estreno en Estados Unidos el 1 de mayo de 2015.

This weekend, we got our first full look at Paul Bettany as Vision in a new Avengers: Age of Ultron poster that was spotted in the wild. Now, a leaked image of the character gives us an even more detailed idea of how Vision's costume will appear in this Marvel superhero sequel. Take a look.

The concept art is from Sideshow Collectibles, and gives us a close-up look at The Vision, as played by Iron Man's J.A.R.V.I.S., Paul Bettany. It is believed that the above art work is concept art given to Sideshow Collectibles as a reference for an upcoming Hot Toys figure based on the Marvel franchise. The collectable company has started to pull the image, which adds to its authenticity as the real thing. Check it out while you still can!

'Avengers 2' Trailer to Debut with 'Interstellar'?
A report from Russia claims the first teaser trailer for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' will be attached to Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar'.

Will we see the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron in late October or early November? That's what a new Russian website is claiming, as they confirm that the first footage from this highly-anticipated Marvel sequel will be attached to Interstellar, in theaters November 7th.

This, of course, has not been confirmed by Marvel or Disney. FilmPro Russian recently attended a Cinema Expo held in their country, where the information was revealed during a Warner Bros. exhibit. Translated, this is what they claim:

"For fans of comic book movies, there is another motive to go see Interstellar. The first trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron will be attached."


It has been speculated that Marvel and Disney are planning a marketing strategy for Avengers: Age of Ultron that is similar to the first Marvel's The Avengers. The full-length trailer for that blockbuster debuted in October of 2011, a year before the film's release. Will the same happen here?

Marvel is known for releasing its trailers online at least a week before they hit theaters. If they follow their own pattern, that puts the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer in front of us the last week of October.

It isn't known if this first Avengers 2 footage will only be attached to Interstellar prints in Russia, or if the same will happen domestically. While Christopher Nolan's sci-fi epic is coming from Warner Bros., and Avengers 2 is coming from Disney, it's not unusual for a studio to launch it's trailer attached to a competitor's film. Big Hero 6 opens the same weekend here in the states, so the trailer maybe more likely attached to prints of this Disney animated superhero adventure, which is their first adaptation of a Marvel Comic Book. That actually makes more sense.

'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Trailer Description from NYCC!
The 'Avengers 2' trailer is speculated to be the same footage shown at San Diego Comic-Con back in July.

A Comic Book Movie reader has revealed that Marvel has unveiled a new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron at New York Comic Con. However, the site also speculates that it's the same footage that was shown at San Diego Comic Con back in July, but that has not been confirmed. At any rate, take a look at the trailer description from an unidentified source below, which opens at a party at Avengers Tower.

"Avengers trailer!!!! Avenger trailer! Y'all y'all y'all. Spoilers! Big ones. I can't do a cut on my phone sorry. Open on big party in the tower! Everyone is trying to lift Thor's hammer. Tony tries, then Tony tries with Rhodey. Clint tries Bruce tries and pretends to hulk out, adorable. Cap tries and juuuuust moves it, Thor looks very scared but then Steve gives up. Nat doesn't even try. Maria is there too! Ultron shows up. Montage of action!!! Explosions everywhere!! Ballerinas! Snow! Bruce in the woods! Hulk touching Nat's hand gently!!! Hulkbuster fight!!! Thor attacking Tony! Cap fighting quick silver! Scarlet witch screaming after Nat says "nothing lasts forever" And then the final shot: Tony is on a battlefield. Cap's shield is on the ground. Broken in half. Cap and Thor and maybe more are lying on the ground. Ahhhhhhhhhhh we all freaked out and made them play it again."

Récord de tomas de efectos visuales para 'Los Vengadores: La era de Ultrón'

Tampoco es ninguna sorpresa, pues la tendencia de Marvel es crecer año tras año. La productora ejecutiva de Marvel Studios, Victoria Alonso, confirmó la pasada noche durante un discurso para la Sociedad de Efectos Visuales que la película dirigida por Joss Whedon, 'Los Vengadores: La era de Ultrón', tendrá más de 3000 tomas de efectos visuales, lo que suponen aproximadamente 500 más que 'Capitán América: El soldado de invierno' y 250 más que 'Guardianes de la Galaxia'.

Gran parte de estos efectos serán para Hulk, todo un desafío creativo para el estudio para el que han desarrollado un nuevo programa de captura de expresiones faciales llamado Muse.

La creación de estos efectos tendrá la participación de artistas de todo el mundo, utilizando hasta doce proveedores diferentes de VFX. The Hollywood Reporter informa que el estudio quiere un equipo creativo lo más internacional posible, aunando ideas de todo el mundo. Alonso, quien también tiene el cargo de vicepresidente de efectos visuales y post-producción de Marvel, habló de la neutralidad que pretenden crear con su equipo creativo también respecto al género:

“Hay que traer a más chicas aquí, muchachos. Es mejor cuando la proporción está al 50%. He estado con ustedes, hombres guapos, talentosos y creativos encerrada en cuartos durante dos décadas, y te puedo decir que se está mejor en esas salas cuando hay algunas de nosotras en ellas. Así que recuerde, es mejor tener mujeres ahí. Son inteligentes, son talentosas, y traen el equilibrio necesario”.

Al tiempo, la productora fue preguntada sobre los planes de Marvel con las mujeres. Recientemente Warner Bros. anunció la película de 'Wonder Woman' para 2017, muestra de la competencia que se está creando también con las heroínas. ¿Tendremos película de superhéroes protagonizada por mujeres?

“Si por mí fuera, la haríamos hoy mismo”, dijo Alonso.
