Los chinos salvan a Transformers 5...
Michael Bay’s fifth and reportedly last film in the “Transformers” franchise, “Transformers: The Last Knight,” opened to a franchise low of $69.1 million domestically in its first five days. That’s significantly down on the $100 million that the previous entry, “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” took in its first three days.
Internationally though, demand for the series hasn’t softened as the entry took in $196.2 million from forty-one markets – on par with the opening of “Transformers: Age of Extinction”. China is where the film made most of its coin, taking in a whopping $123.4 million from that country alone. Korea ($13m) and Russia ($9m) were also hot for it.
