And in other news, I wanted to take a moment to follow up on yesterday’s revelation that the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro will support 4K/HDR gaming but not the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc format. Here’s the thing to keep in mind: Unlike the situation in 2006, at the dawn of Blu-ray, Sony Corporation has undergone a good deal restructuring of its vast operations of late, splitting its business into smaller self-operating units. This means that Sony Consumer Electronics (which handles set-top A/V devices and displays) is not as closely aligned with Sony Interactive Entertainment (which handles gaming) as it once was. In 2006, it made sense for the two companies to support the Blu-ray format at any cost. Today, however, our industry sources tell us that Sony Consumer Electronics doesn’t want a UHD-capable PlayStation 4 Pro to undercut sales of its forthcoming set-top 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, which is expected in early 2017 and the prototype of which was on display at the IFA consumer electronics trade show in Berlin last week (see this link). However, it’s been noted around the Net in the last day or so that the actual disc structure and drive hardware are essentially the same between regular Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. So it seems very possible that, once Sony Consumer Electronics’ set-top Ultra HD Blu-ray player finally arrives in stores and sells through for a while, you could see Sony Interactive Entertainment surprise people with a firmware update that adds full 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc compatibility to the PlayStation 4 Pro.

Tiene sentido, pero son unos hijoputas rastreros que solo piensan en...en...¿en lo que todos?
 
Eso sería increíblemente retorcido. De todas formas sólo es posible si montan el láser que es específicamente compatible con el formato derivado del BD XL...

Pero si lo tienen planeado y callan es... No sé cómo decirlo, de higüeputas... Era así como recomienda la RAE?
 
¿Y si lo hacen así porque no tienen el software listo? Porque vamos, para sacarlo como el de la Xbox, que la mitad de las películas no van... En cualquier caso, si se ahorran quince dólares por consola, multiplicado por los millones que van a vender...

Total, para el interés que hay por el formato...
 
Hombre, teniendo en cuenta que dicen que van a actualizar el Firmware de la PS4 para que pueda ofrecer HDR (ahora sí, no, cabrones?), qué no serían capaces de hacer estos?.

Si lo hacen sería una hijoeputada mu gorda, sí.
 
¿Calor excesivo? Yo la puse ayer para jugar al Journey y la apagué porque parecía un avión, las máquinas notan mucho más que nosotros el bochorno
 
Para esas PS3 probar cambiar la pasta termica,aunque tambien puede ser que esten llegando a ese punto en el que acaben fritas y no trabajen mas.
 
Me están costando 80-100 euros en Wallapop. La última 80 con dos mandos y 8 juegos.

Ni me planteo repararlas. Limpiarlas con alcohol especial, sacar el polvo de los respiraderos y listos.
 
Oh, acabas de sacarme una lagrimilla por recordarme mis tiempos consoleros... Espero que la hayas disfrutado a tope durante estos años.
 
Mi PS3 murió ya hace mas de un año. A través del wallapop un chaval me la reparó (la pasta térmica) por 35€. Pero apenas soportó un par de semanas y murió definitivamente.

Personalmente creo que no merece ir reparando maquinas tan viejas a no ser que haya un componente sentimental y quieras conservarla para la colección.
 
Mi fat del 2008 petó en el 2012 y la repare yo mismo hasta 3 veces pero acabé desistiendo y compre la Slim hará ya 4 años.

Creo que hice un hilo explicando el proceso que seguí para arreglarla.
