No he probado con audios HD, está con downmix hacia la TV. El fin de semana lo montaré con el proyector.
This zip will add support for all the USB tuners supported by linux-media git repo up to 20150922, I have tested it with a DVB-T Hauppage Nova-T stick and it worked (despite the tuner being really crappy, that's why I replaced it on my x86 htpc).
Note that it's supposed to be used only by users that know what they are doing as it requires the manual insertion of the required kernel module as you can see in the commented header of the file "system/bin/tvheadend.sh" included in the zip.
# First, load the DVB driver. Look at linuxtv.org Wiki here http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.ph...ce_Information
# to find info on which driver to load.
# Some firmwares are included (the one that come with the Linux media git tarball), if your device needs a different firmware
# then upload it to /system/etc/firmware
#
# This is an example for an Hauppauge Nova-T Stick:
#
# modprobe dib7000p
# modprobe dvb_usb_dib0700
# If you have problems with the device freezing when going into sleep mode, uncomment the line below to enable a wake lock that
# won't let it go into deep sleep. This device is not meant to be used with a USB tuner and the suspension may cause troubles with
# some tuners
#
# echo tvheadend > /sys/power/wake_lock
NOTICE For Kodi v16 "Jarvis"
Android Surface Rendering
Today we merged a change for Android which makes it possible for the GUI to be displayed at 1080p and the video playback at 4K. We now use the "android surface rendering" which is a default implementation of the Android system.
What this does is grant the ability for the device to render the Kodi GUI at say 1080p but actually do video playback at 4K.
This doesn't apply to amlogic devices with proper permissions, which will still use amcodec.
Any build from 24th October will have this change and should make any device that uses the proper implementation of the Android API.
Should you be able please test out these builds. Be warned that this is based on Kodi v16 and these are still devs builds and caution should be taken.
Disclaimer:
As we just implemented this change there could still be some minors bugs that could pop up with the variety of devices that will be solved during coming weeks.
In case you have a problem with video playback please provide proper debuglogs and information. Failing to do so the problem will be ignored.
Any device that is not able to do "android surface rendering" has not implemented the standard Android MediaCodec API the proper way. If this is the case please go ask your device manufacturer to do a proper job and release a fixed FW version. We as Team Kodi are not responsible for broken or bad firmware by device manufacturers. We will no longer implement any hacks or workarounds.
Nice work indeed for 4K Kodi Android users that have 4K (4096×2160) limited to 24Hz due to a HDMI 1.4 limitation.
I take it Ultra HD (3840×2160) @ 24/25/30Hz would also playback correctly ?
So .....
- a fast fluid 1080p 60Hz Kodi GUI, then 4K/2K - 23.976fps movies will Autoswitch the TV to 24p for 4K/2K playback.
Wetek Play NO va con audios HD... confirmado. Así que estoy viendo Terminator Genisys con la Pi 2 en PCM 7.1
- Does this box definetly support HD Audio Passthrough?
- Yes it does.
- OK is that via andriod or OpenElec or both?
- Not sure on Android and I don't have an hd audio amp to test. However on openelec all the hd audio passthrough settings are there and other people on wetek forum have confirmed it works.
For now, the known issues are :
No audio passthrough, AAC decoding doesn't work
There is a new option on
Settings->Video->Acceleration->Enable experimental decoder
It is enabled by default and forces Kodi to use new decoder. At any time you can deselect the option and Kodi will use old decoder
